Last month we took part in Marmomac Brazil, an important international event dedicated to natural stone and its use in architecture and design. The fair was held in São Paulo and brought together professionals from across the industry, including architects, designers, developers and construction companies.
For Bateig Natural Stone, attending the event was a great opportunity to strengthen our presence in the Brazilian market and reconnect with professionals who are shaping new architectural projects across the region. Trade fairs like this play a key role in the international stone industry, as they allow companies to showcase their materials, exchange knowledge and build long-term relationships with architects and developers.
Meeting Professionals from Across Latin America
Events such as Marmomac Brazil are especially valuable because they allow companies and professionals to meet in person, share ideas and explore new opportunities for collaboration. While digital communication is now common in the architectural world, face-to-face conversations remain essential when discussing materials, finishes and the specific needs of each project.
During the event we were very pleased to personally meet some of our long-standing clients and partners who have been working with our natural stone for several years. These meetings were an excellent opportunity to review ongoing collaborations and discuss new projects currently being developed across Latin America.
At the same time, Marmomac Brazil also allowed us to connect with many new professionals interested in learning more about our materials and their potential for architectural use. Although the exhibition took place in Brazil, we received visits from professionals from a wide range of Latin American countries.
Architects, developers and designers from across the region travelled to São Paulo to discover new materials, explore innovative solutions and connect with international suppliers. This diversity of visitors created a dynamic environment where ideas, trends and experiences from different markets could be shared.
During the exhibition, we had the opportunity to establish a close relationship with around 80 new professionals. Among them were several well-known architecture studios working on projects where our stone could be a suitable material. These conversations were extremely positive and opened the door to potential collaborations in the future.
Presenting Our Materials for New Architectural Projects
Throughout the exhibition we had the opportunity to present our materials and explain their technical and aesthetic qualities to architects and designers. Many professionals showed strong interest in the versatility of natural stone and its ability to adapt to a wide range of architectural styles.
We discussed possible applications in different types of projects, from residential buildings and luxury homes to hotels, public spaces and large commercial developments. Natural stone can be used in façades, interior cladding, flooring and landscaping, making it a highly adaptable material for contemporary architecture.
The growing interest in natural materials also reflects a clear trend in today’s architectural practice. Designers are increasingly looking for materials that combine durability, sustainability and timeless aesthetics. Natural stone responds perfectly to these demands, offering both visual character and long-term performance.
For many professionals attending Marmomac Brazil, discovering new stone varieties and finishes is an important part of the design process. Being able to see and touch the materials in person helps architects better understand how they can be integrated into their projects.
A New Stage for Bateig in Brazil

Our participation in Marmomac Brazil also marked the beginning of a new stage for our activity in Brazil.
In order to strengthen our presence in the country, we have recently introduced a new business model designed to support architects and developers more closely. From now on, we will have two official representatives based in São Paulo who will promote and represent our brand locally.
Their mission will be to connect directly with architecture studios, design professionals and construction companies across the city. By maintaining a local presence, they will be able to introduce our materials more effectively and support professionals who are considering natural stone for their projects.
Working Closely with Architects and Designers
Our representatives will organise meetings and presentations with professionals throughout São Paulo. These sessions will allow them to introduce our materials in detail, present different finishes and discuss how natural stone can be incorporated into contemporary architectural designs.
Working closely with architects is a fundamental part of our philosophy. Every project is unique, and early collaboration allows us to identify the most appropriate materials and solutions for each design. By engaging in dialogue from the early stages of a project, we can better understand the architect’s vision and contribute to achieving the desired result.
Looking Ahead
Participating in Marmomac Brazil was a very positive experience and confirmed the importance of maintaining strong relationships with professionals across Brazil and the wider Latin American region.
The event allowed us not only to showcase our materials, but also to better understand the needs and trends shaping architecture in this part of the world. As we move forward, we are excited about this new stage and look forward to continuing to share our natural stone with architects and designers in São Paulo and across the international market.
